Wow! What an amazing night we had at the OzHarvest CEO CookOff™ for 2019. All Wheels was so proud to be part of this magical fundraising event to support the lives of vulnerable men and women in Australia.

All Wheels Managing Director and Ambassador, Gina Nicolopolous, donned her apron and brushed up on her culinary skills in preparation for the big event.  Gina and the entire All Wheels team feel very passionately about the work that OzHarvest undertake every day, and are proud to have been a long-time supporter of OzHarvest and an official sponsor for the past two years.

OzHarvest CEO CookOff™ supporting disadvantaged & homeless Australians

Oz-Harvest-CEO-Cook-Off-Dishes (1)One of the most humbling reasons to take part in the OzHarvest CEO CookOff™ was the opportunity to work with other CEOs, business leaders, and chefs to create delicious meals to feed over 1,400 vulnerable, disadvantaged or homeless Australians.   After creating a delicious meal, Gina was invited to dine and share a meal with the other guests, including many disadvantaged and homeless Australians who also attended the event.

The event saw a mammoth fundraising effort from all involved with the current tally sitting at over $2,750,000!  Gina and All Wheels were proud to have fundraised over $10,731 for the OzHarvest CEO CookOff™  for 2019 and help OzHarvest continue their amazing work in perishable food rescue all around Australia.

Helping to fight the war on waste

Good food should not go to waste while people in Australia and all around the world are going hungry.  The mission of OzHarvest is to rescue edible food from going to landfill and redistribute it to those in need.  This amazing charity collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it, free of charge to 1000 charities that help feed vulnerable women, children, and men.

But they have a big job ahead of them, and they can’t do it alone.  With a massive 5 million tonnes of food ending up in landfill in Australia every year, with over half of this coming from our homes, now is the time for all Australians to step up and fight food waste.

With Easter nearly here, it is the perfect opportunity to consider how you can reduce any food wastage. Take the first step, and check out this handy guide that OzHarvest has put together on what you can do at home, to fight food waste.

Continuing to support the work of OzHarvest

OzHarvest relies on the support of food donations, volunteer support, and monetary donations. You can give a little love at any time. Every dollar donated helps to provide two meals to someone in need.

Thanks to all the supporters of our Jazz, Beer & Burgers event

Michael-Gina-Kerrie-OzHarvest-Jazz-Beer-Burgers-EventAs part of All Wheels fundraising efforts for the OzHarvest CEO CookOff™, we held our ‘Jazz, Beer & Burgers’ event on the 20th March, which was a huge success. We’d like to again thank some amazing sponsors for jumping on board and helping us make it such a wonderful, successful night.  Thanks to Wats On Events for all their help in bringing the event to life; all our guests enjoyed their Young Henry’s beers and delicious Mary’s burgers, which the guys were so kind to have donated! Daily Fresh Foodservice lent a hand with event supplies, while all our guests were entertained by the fantastic live music from the team at Lazy Bones Lounge.

We appreciate all the support from our guests with our raffle and auction and hope everyone enjoyed their goodie bag they got to take home!

Once again a big thank you to all our amazing sponsors, we couldn’t have achieved such a wonderful fundraising result without you!
