All Wheels Support Educating Women About Heart Disease

At All Wheels, we are a business with a strong female leadership team who lead active, busy lives not only as professionals but also mothers, friends and family members. We’re aware of the importance of a healthy, balanced lifestyle for ourselves and our families. However, we were surprised to learn from the National Heart Foundation that Heart Disease is a leading killer of Australian Women.

 An Eye-opening Heart Disease Statistic

In fact, we were shocked to learn that Heart Disease kills 3 times more women than breast cancer yet so many people are unaware. It was this broad lack of awareness, as well as our own ignorance, that made us so keen to support the Heart Foundation. We are proud to be able to make a small contribution to their ongoing commitment to making the invisible visible and increase awareness and education around women and heart disease.

Fay Chiotis is an Ambassador for the Heart Foundation, especially in issues related to Women’s Health. She works hard to engage women in familiar, safe, relaxed environments – lunches and informal, fun events – to openly and comfortably discuss the issues. The primary aim is to educate these women on ways to make healthy lifestyle choices as well as the importance of understanding their family history.

Making the Invisible Visible

In 2018 we will be proudly supporting Fay Chiotis’ Annual Women with Heart & Style Lunch as the main sponsor, raising funds for the National Heart Foundation. As a business with a strong female leadership in a typically male industry, we understand that empowering women with knowledge is so important.

This year’s event will be held on 1 June at The Kyle Bay, a stunning venue on the Georges River. The All Wheels team are looking forward to a special event where we can get to know other women who support the Heart Foundation, learn more about the disease and have some light-hearted fun. Special guest Sophia Hallias will be sharing her personal Heart health experience. Former Getaway presenter and TV personality, Kelly Landry will be MC for the afternoon.

Most importantly, our team at All Wheels, male and female, are excited and committed to being part of such a worthwhile event. Let’s make the invisible visible to help protect the hearts of the women we love.

If you’d like to find out more about the event visit the Heart Foundation website or join the Facebook Group for updates and more information on how to buy tickets.
